A Good Citizen

A citizen is a person who is living in a city, town, village,or even a slum of an independent country. When a citizen become an assets for his country, he is considered as a good citizen. Being a good citizen is a blessing to society. A good citizen understands that they are responsible for their country. They respect the traditions, culture, and heritage of their country and maintain social harmony with their fellow citizens. A good citizen never hurts the feelings of others or disturbs the peace in society. They take care of the weak, poor, and needy, always ready to assist them. Loyalty and obedience to society are important aspects of being a good citizen. The primary duty of a good citizen is their loyalty to their country. They are always prepared to sacrifice everything for the sake of their country, obeying laws and respecting the Constitution. They prioritize the needs of their country and are willing to risk their life to protect it. A good citizen has a strong belief in the laws of their country and never breaks them. They support law enforcement in protecting society from those who try to disturb its smooth functioning. A good citizen practices good habits and maintains a clean thought process. They live a simple life, respecting the beliefs of others and being helpful, friendly, unselfish, and humble. They remain alert against the enemies of their country, never engaging in any activities that may aid them. Good citizens take an interest in politics and cast their vote for a candidate who will work hard for the good of the country. A good citizen is confident, brave, and never ill-treats or cheats anyone. They always remain ready to help others, no matter what their profession. Whether a soldier, worker, teacher, or doctor, a good citizen strives to give their best effort, remaining true to their clean actions, words, and deeds. In summary, a good citizen embodies all the qualities worthy of the highest honor.


অর্থ: একজন নাগরিক হল এমন এক ব্যক্তি যিনি একটি শহর, টাউন, গ্রাম বা একটি স্বাধীন দেশের বস্তিতে বসবাস করছেন। একজন নাগরিক যখন তার দেশের জন্য একটি সম্পদ হয়, তখন তিনি একজন ভাল নাগরিক হিসাবে বিবেচিত হয়। সুনাগরিক হওয়া সমাজের জন্য আশীর্বাদ। একজন ভাল নাগরিক বুঝে নেয় যে তিনি তার দেশের জন্য দায়িত্বশীল। তিনি তাদের দেশের ঐতিহ্য, সংস্কৃতি এবং ঐতিহ্যবাহী সংরক্ষণ করে এবং তাদের সহপাঠী নাগরিকদের সাথে সামাজিক সমন্বয় বজায় রাখেন। একজন ভাল নাগরিক কখনও অন্যের ভাবনাকে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করে না এবং সমাজে শান্তি অব্যাহতি রক্ষা করে। তিনি দুর্বল, দরিদ্র এবং নিত্যদিন সহায়তা প্রদানে সচেষ্ট। সমাজের জন্য বদলে সর্বদা প্রস্তুত থাকা একজন ভাল নাগরিকের মূল দায়িত্ব হল তাদের দেশে সমস্তকিছুর সাথে অনুগত হওয়া। তারা তাদের দেশের স্বার্থে, আইন মেনে চলা এবং সংবিধানকে সম্মান করার জন্য সর্বদা সর্বস্ব ত্যাগ করতে প্রস্তুত। তারা তাদের দেশের চাহিদাকে অগ্রাধিকার দেয় এবং এটি রক্ষা করার জন্য তাদের জীবনের ঝুঁকি নিতে ইচ্ছুক। একজন ভালো নাগরিকের তাদের দেশের আইনের প্রতি দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস থাকে এবং সেগুলি কখনই ভঙ্গ করে না। যারা সমাজের মসৃণ কার্যকারিতাকে ব্যাহত করার চেষ্টা করে তাদের থেকে সমাজকে রক্ষা করতে তারা আইন প্রয়োগকারীকে সমর্থন করে। একজন ভাল নাগরিক ভাল অভ্যাস অনুশীলন করে এবং একটি পরিষ্কার চিন্তা প্রক্রিয়া বজায় রাখে। তারা একটি সাধারণ জীবনযাপন করে, অন্যের বিশ্বাসকে সম্মান করে এবং সহায়ক, বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ, নিঃস্বার্থ এবং নম্র হয়। তারা তাদের দেশের শত্রুদের বিরুদ্ধে সজাগ থাকে, তাদের সাহায্য করতে পারে এমন কোনো কর্মকাণ্ডে কখনও জড়িত হয় না। ভালো নাগরিকরা রাজনীতিতে আগ্রহী হন এবং এমন একজন প্রার্থীকে ভোট দেন যিনি দেশের ভালোর জন্য কঠোর পরিশ্রম করবেন। একজন ভালো নাগরিক আত্মবিশ্বাসী, সাহসী এবং কখনোই কারো সাথে খারাপ ব্যবহার বা প্রতারণা করেন না। তারা সবসময় অন্যদের সাহায্য করার জন্য প্রস্তুত থাকে, তাদের পেশা যাই হোক না কেন। একজন সৈনিক, কর্মী, শিক্ষক বা ডাক্তার যাই হোক না কেন, একজন ভাল নাগরিক তাদের সর্বোত্তম প্রচেষ্টা দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করে, তাদের পরিচ্ছন্ন কাজ, কথা এবং কাজের প্রতি সত্য থাকে। সংক্ষেপে, একজন ভাল নাগরিক সর্বোচ্চ সম্মানের যোগ্য সমস্ত গুণাবলীকে মূর্ত করে তোলে।

Bangladesh is an agricultural country. Most of the people of Bangladesh are farmers. The person who lives by cultivation on his own lands or farms is called a farmer. A farmer lives in the village and works on his agricultural fields. A farmer generally grows paddy, jute, wheat, pulses, onion, pepper, oil seeds, sugar-cane etc. A farmer has to work hard during the sowing and harvesting season. He works from dawn to dusk. After so much hardship when he finds his field full of crops he becomes very happy. But sometimes drought, over rain, flooding, cyclones and pests often destroy the crops and his sorrows know no bounds. Generally a farmer lives in poverty and dies poor. As he is illiterate, he has a big family and finds it difficult to make both ends meet. The government better agricultural knowledge.

Load-shedding means the discontinuation of supply of electricity. Load-shedding occurs when generation of power is less than the demand. Besides, unplanned distribution and illegal connection of electricity are also responsible for it. Houses, mills, factories, industries, shops, hospitals all fall a victim to it. The running productive machines come to a stand still in mills and factories. Domestic life becomes painful. The housewives grope in the darkness in the kitchen. The sufferings of the students due to load-shedding are beggar description. The patients also suffer terribly for load-shedding. Operations are stopped. The food kept in the refrigerators get rotten.  The commodities preserved in cold storages get spoiled. In fact, load-shedding causes great suffering to the people and to the country. To get rid of this problem we need to take effective steps to produce adequate power, planned distribution, to set up more electric plants, to disconnect the illegal connections, to prevent misuse and to keep open the shopping places and business centers during a schedule time. We want that our government should think over the matter and take necessary steps as early as possible.

However, we are proud of our school magazine.

Tree plantation means to plant trees systematically. Trees are gift of nature. Trees are our best friends. Trees are useful to us in many ways. They are a great source of food and vitamins. We get flowers, fruits, fuel and timber from trees. Trees give us oxygen and take carbon-dioxide and maintain the ecological balance. They also save us from natural calamities. They increase the beauty of nature. So trees are a valuable asset to a country. We should plant more and more trees. The best time for tree plantation is June and July. During this time the weather is in favour of new planted trees. The sides of highways, coastal area, sides of houses and unused lands can be used to plant trees. It is unfortunate that people have always been cutting down trees for fuel, furniture and other purposes. This is, no doubt, creating a dangerous situation for the country. We should plant more trees than we cut down. We should expand tree plantation slogan here and there for protecting trees. We must undertake a vast project for planting trees all over the country, which will be a noble service to the nation.

বাংলা অনুবাদ: বৃক্ষরোপণ মানে নিয়মতান্ত্রিকভাবে গাছ লাগানো। গাছ প্রকৃতির দান। গাছ আমাদের সেরা বন্ধু। গাছ আমাদের জন্য নানাভাবে উপকারী। এগুলি খাদ্য এবং ভিটামিনের একটি দুর্দান্ত উত্স। আমরা গাছ থেকে ফুল, ফল, জ্বালানি ও কাঠ পাই। গাছ আমাদের অক্সিজেন দেয় এবং কার্বন-ডাই-অক্সাইড গ্রহণ করে এবং পরিবেশগত ভারসাম্য বজায় রাখে। তারা আমাদের প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগ থেকে বাঁচায়। এগুলো প্রকৃতির সৌন্দর্য বাড়ায়। তাই গাছ একটি দেশের মূল্যবান সম্পদ। আমাদের আরো বেশি করে গাছ লাগাতে হবে। বৃক্ষ রোপণের উপযুক্ত সময় জুন এবং জুলাই। এ সময় আবহাওয়া নতুন লাগানো গাছের অনুকূলে থাকে। মহাসড়কের পাশে, উপকূলীয় এলাকা, বাড়ির পাশে এবং অব্যবহৃত জমি গাছ লাগানোর জন্য ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে। এটা দুর্ভাগ্যজনক যে মানুষ সবসময় জ্বালানি, আসবাবপত্র এবং অন্যান্য উদ্দেশ্যে গাছ কাটছে। এটা নিঃসন্দেহে দেশের জন্য বিপজ্জনক পরিস্থিতি তৈরি করছে। আমরা যতটা গাছ কাটব তার চেয়ে বেশি গাছ লাগাতে হবে। বৃক্ষ রক্ষার জন্য বৃক্ষরোপণ স্লোগানকে এখানে-সেখানে প্রসারিত করতে হবে। সারাদেশে বৃক্ষরোপণের জন্য আমাদের একটি বিশাল প্রকল্প গ্রহণ করতে হবে, যা হবে জাতির জন্য একটি মহৎ সেবা।

The Grameen Bank is a bank that works for the welfare of the poor. Dr. Mohammad Yunus is the founder and Managing Director of the Grameen Bank. The main target of the bank is to alleviate poverty from the country. It opens its branches in the rural areas where the rootless people live. The bank lends money to the poor for productive activities. The villagers have to follow some rules and regulations to get benefit from the bank. They have to make 5-6 groups of workers, each having five members. Then they set up a centre where the bank gives loans and receives repayment of loans. Each member of the groups is given a registered number. This bank has gained popularity at home and abroad. Many countries of the world have accepted the model of Grameen bank.

Any abnormal change in chemical, physical and biological characteristics of environment is called pollution. Air, water, sound and odour are elements of environment. These elements are being polluted in many ways. Smoke coming out form the mills, factories and motor vehicles is polluting air. The surface of the earth is polluted by uncollected garbage. Water is polluted by chemical fertilizer, insecticide, materials waste, food waste and human waste. The other form of pollution is sound pollution. We have noise from motor vehicles, mills, factories, aeroplanes, domestic appliance and so on. The sound made by these things pollutes our environment. Environment pollution causes many diseases and problems. It leads us to the way of death. So to live a happy and healthy life we must be conscious of the matter and try to remove this problem soon. The government should take all possible steps in order to improve this condition.

Environment pollution causes many problems. It leads us to the way of death. So for a happy and healthy life we should conscious of the environment.
